Katherine quickly found my issues and now after just three sessions (including acupuncture) I am finally upright and more balanced plus I can sleep without pain and get up in the morning with very little stiffness. I can’t tell you what a difference it makes to my life - I no longer feel like I’m old before my time and I don’t have to take anti-inflammatory pain killers. I highly recommend Katherine, she is a miracle worker.

I had a grumbling minor niggle in my back related to postural imbalance. I found the booking process was so easy online, found an appointment time that suited me (evenings and Saturdays have been really helpful for myself and my partner), and she was covered by our private medical insurance. Clear and thorough instructions on the booking email - including to the car park which is a fab bonus being in the centre of Christchurch. During my initial appointment she took a thorough history and examination, and offered me an explanation of issues and how to resolve them. Managed to get a mix of treatments in the first session - some manipulation, deep tissue work and western acupuncture. She explained what she doing whilst performing each treatments. Throughout Katherine was friendly and professional.

Having explained it to Katherine she began to treat it in a number of ways. So with her understanding and treatment and me doing all of the exercises given to me I felt after 4 sessions my knee had improved enormously. I would highly recommend Katherine and Hands on Care!

For most of my adult life, osteopathy has mended my body after injuries and improved my physical well being through regular care. For some years now, I have been going to Hands On Care, primarily to Michelle, but also Lorna and Katherine.
All three have given me great relief from chronic neck pain and back pain, and also repaired a bad knee injury over only a few weeks of appointments. Their primary use of massage and stretching and gentle manipulation techniques are extremely beneficial and enjoyable and I fully recommend them. M.Wagg
I was at first a bit cynical as I had previously been under a chiropractor for my back condition. I found the chiropractor hindered my condition so I stopped going. I had heard good reports about osteopaths so thought I would try it. I have had damaged discs which has left me with a disc bulge. I was also suffering from sciatica and was having trouble standing and sitting.
The treatment I received was amazing. By the end of the first session Katherine had managed to sort out my acute sciatica. She was very thorough and professional. I was in a lot of pain. Katherine was gentle but applied enough pressure to ease the pain. After 4 sessions the results were very positive.
Katherine was very knowledgeable. Her hands on approach and tips for how to manage my back were very helpful. I am now 90% better than I was and at times I am completely pain free. I would recommend this treatment for the excellent results that I received but also because I felt I was in very good hands and that Katherine was a very qualified and professional.
In the 4 years I have had a bad back I have never had such relief. I know I will never be completely cured but if and when I do have a flair up I know I can go back to Katherine and receive excellent treatment. I would like to say a big thank you to Katherine and wish her every success for the future.

Katherine is a miracle worker! After a few years of physio and 2 steroid injections for a shoulder injury which would not budge I had given up hope. However after a few sessions with Katherine she had made more progress then any other treatment I had had previous. Roll on a few months and I was beginning to have pain free days, roll on a few more and it was hard to remember when my last pain day was! She provides a holistic approach to all treatment and pin points the issue with ease.
Whilst seeing Katherine I then also became pregnant which was always a slight worry for me after years of back and hip problems. However with support, guidance and advice I stretched/massaged/mobilised through my pregnancy with minimal issues due to Katherine's fantastic treatment. She was also on hand to help my body transition through the post partum period and to meet my little man! MIRACLES DO HAPPEN I was diagnosed in 2017 with severe sciatica, prescribed strong pain killers and placed on a waiting list to see a surgeon. Towards the end of the year, the pain became unbearable, whereby I wasn't able to sit, stand or sleep. In desperation I looked up local osteopaths and found Katherine at Hands on Care. At the first appointment, Katherine went through my history, asked questions and started treatment. Katherine explained very clearly my problems and how she proposed dealing with them. She worked to my pain threshold and was sympathetic to my abilities, and I always felt relaxed and calm during my sessions with her. I have now had four treatments with Katherine and am amazed at the change. I no longer need the pain killers and am able to sit, stand and sleep. I cannot recommend Katherine highly enough; she is approachable, passionate and committed. And miracles do happen.
